Jakarta sebagai kota megapolitan ‘ditumbuhi’ gedung-gedung pencakar langit. Data dari Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta ada sekitar 700 gedung tinggi di Jakarta. Tapi di antara ratusan gedung tinggi di Jakarta itu ada 10 yang tertinggi. Berikut 10 gedung tertinggi di Jakarta

1. Wisma 46

Wisma 46 adalah bangunan tertinggi Indonesia yang memiliki tinggi 262 meter (hingga pucuk antena). Gedung ini terletak di Jalan Sudirman, Jakarta. Menara perkantoran bertingkat 46 ini selesai tahun 1996 yang dirancang oleh Zeidler Roberts Partnership (Zeidler Partnership Architects) dan DP Architects Private Ltd.

Menara ini terletak di sebuah tanah seluas 15 hektar di pusat kota. Selain itu, gedung ini berisi 23 elevator yang dapat mencapai kecepatan 360 mpm dalam model berkecepatan super tinggi.

Wisma 46 adalah bangunan tertinggi ke-147 di dunia bila dihitung hingga puncak. Juga bangunan tertinggi kedua di belahan Bumi selatan. Bila dihitung hingga ke atap, menara ini setinggi 228 meter dan bila dihitung hingga atap terendah, tingginya hanya 200 meter.

2. Menara BCA

Menara BCA berada di kawasan Bundaran HI Jakarta. Gedung ini memiliki tinggi 230 meter dan punya 56 lantai. Menara BCA dibangun pada tahun 2004 dan selesai tahun 2007. Gedung ini ditempati sebagai pusat perkantoran, restoran, mal hingga fitness center.

3. The Peak

The Peak adalah sebuah apartemen di Jakarta yang memiliki 2 tower. Model menara kembar The Peak selintas memang mirip dengan menara kembar Petronas di Malayasia. Selain itu, The Peak memiliki 55 lantai dengan tinggi gedung 218. 5 meter. Gedung ini dibangun sejak tahun 2003 dan selesai dibangun pada Juni 2006. Bangunan ini didesain oleh DP Architects.

4. Graha Energi

Gedung ini selesai dibangun pada tahun 2008 dan memiliki 55 lantai. Lokasinya berada di kawasan Sudirman, Jakarta. Bangunan tinggi ini dipakai sebagai perkantoran dan restoran. Graha Energi memiliki tinggi 217 meter, dibangun oleh PT Api Metra Graha. Sedangkan untuk desain arsitekturnya dibuat oleh Kohn Pederson Fox Association.

5. Kempinski Residences

Pembangunan apartemen yang menjadi satu dengan bekas Hotel Indonesia ini, selesai pada tahun 2009. Gedung ini dibangun dengan ketinggian 217 meter dengan jumlah 57 lantai. Bangunan ini tepat berada di jantung kota Jakarta, yakni kawasan Bundaran HI.

6. Bakrie Tower

Gedung pencakar langit ini berada di kompleks Rasuna Epicentrum. Gedung ini memiliki tinggi 215 meter dan jumlah lantai sebanyak 40. Gedung Bakrie Tower sebagian digunakan perkantoran untuk perusahaan di grup Bakrie. Bakrie Tower rampung dibangun pada Januari 2009. Gedung ini adalah pembangunan tahap pertama dari megaproyek Rasuna Epicentrum yang dikerjakan oleh PT Bakrieland Development. Untuk pengamanannya, gedung ini menggunakan perangkat lunak yang disebut Visitor Management System (VMS).

7. Ritz Carlton Tower B

Ketinggian gedung pencakar langit yang dijadikan sebagai hotel ini mencapai 212 meter. Gedung ini memiliki 48 lantai. Selain dipakai sebagai hotel, gedung ini juga digunakan sebagai tempat hunian. Gedung ini berlokasi di kawasan Mega Kuningan, Jakarta Selatan. Bangunan ini pernah terkena ledakan bom bersama dengan Hotel JW Marriott tahun 2009.

8. Plaza Indonesia Extension

Bangunan baru di kompleks Plaza Indonesia ini memiliki tinggi 210 meter dengan jumlah lantai 48. Gedung ini selesai dibangun tahun 2009, terletak di Jalan Thamrin Jakarta Pusat. Selain sebagian pusat perbelanjaan, gedung ini juga dipakai sebagai pusat perkantoran.

9. Icon Residences aka St Regis

Gedung pencakar langit ini memiliki ketinggian 200 meter. Jumlah lantainya sebanyak 47. Gedung ini dibangun oleh Duta Anggada Realty dan didesain oleh DiMarzio Kato Architecture, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP. Gedung ini berlokasi di Jalan Sudirman Jakarta. Bangunan ini selesai dibangun tahun 2008.

10. Wisma Mulia

Wisma Mulia memiliki tinggi 195,1 meter. Gedung ini memiliki 54 lantai dan selesai dibangun tahun 2003. Lokasinya terletak di Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jakarta Selatan. Wisma Mulia digunakan sebagai gedung perkantoran.
